David Anderson is a DAR Patriot Ancestor, A002364.

David was born in 1745 in Virginia. He was the son of David Anderson and Elizabeth Mills.[1]

David resided in Louisa, Virginia and served as a Captain in the Revolutionary War.[2]

He married Amediah Binn, who named the following children in her will dated 29 July 1825.

On 11 March 1780, David purchased Treasury Warrant 3686 for 5,725 acres of land for which he paid 2,290 pounds. Warrants for the same amount was purchased by John Thompson and Michael Anderson. The three warrants were combined into one survey for 17175 acres of land in Jefferson County, Virginia dated 6 November 1782. The patent for the land was recorded in Kentucky grant book 16 page 388 with the title for the land conveyed by Governor Isaac Shelby on 26 November 1794.[3]

David died in 1795. An administrator's bond was issued to Amediah Anderson, Elijah Dickenson, and Thomas Merriwether in Louisa County, Virginia. The bond set at 2000 pounds was dated 14 September 1795 and recorded by the court the same day.[4]

A sale of his estate was recorded on 14 April 1806 in Louisa County, Virginia with Amediah signing as the administratrix.[5]
