Catherine Isabel Anderson, daughter of Joseph Anderson, was born about 1823 in Illinois.[1]
She married Joseph B. Malony on 31 Aug. 1851 in Hancock, Illinois.[2]
She and Joseph appeared on the census of 16 June 1860 at Prairie City, McDonough, Illinois.[3] Catherine and Joseph were separated by at least 1870 and divorced before 30 Dec. 1873 when Joseph remarried. She and her daughters appeared on the census of 19 Aug. 1870 in the home of Joseph Anderson at Canton Ward 4, Fulton, Illinois.[4]
Catherine died "on or about the 31 day of July 1878 in the County of Fulton and State of Illinois."[1]
Catherine wrote her will on 17 June 1878 at Fulton County, Illinois. It was filed for probate on 20 Aug. 1878 at Fulton , Illinois. She identified her deceased father Joseph Anderson, and her "only children": Mary E. Gustine, Nathaniel L. Malony, Margaret J. Maolny and Emma Malony. She requested that William N. Malony "shall act as the guardian of my minor children" and be the executor of the estate. The estate was settled in 1884 and James E. Gustine, Mary Gustine, Emma Malony, Nathaniel Malony, and Jeannie Malony, signed various documents. Margaret seems to have used the name Jeannie. Joseph Malony is not identified in the will nor is he listed in any of the account papers.[1]
