My brother, Ben (Benjamin) and I come from Michael CRAWFORD and Elizabeth FARR of the Anson NC/Chesterfields Dist SC. However, my brother's Big Y-700 DNA matched only one CRAWFORD male and the rest were ANDERSONs. In communicating with the administrator of the matching CRAWFORD, it appears our lines run along the same path......at least back to the early 1700s. I am wondering if perhaps Ann ANDERSON who married David CRAWFORD was an ANDERSON widow who had a couple of small ANDERSON sons and they were raised in the David CRAWFORD household as CRAWFORDS. In looking at DNA results on Ann's page both my brother Ben and I show up. Another possibility that she took in an ANDERSON brother's children and they were raised as CRAWFORD in her home.
