Per was born in 1852 in Ranseröd No1,[1] Norra Sandby parish[2]. His parents were Anders (Johansson) Plantin and Pernilla.[3] Per was the fourth of his parents' eight children. From 1858 the family lived in Ranseröd No 6.[4][5] In 1871 Per left his parents and moved to N. Sandby No 3,[6] the very next year he moved to N. Sandby No 10[7] where he worked as a farmhand/laborer until 1874 when he temporarily moved back to his parents in Ranseröd 6.[8]
In N. Sandby No 3, where Per had worked for a while, Anna Månsdotter also lived, perhaps they met there? The two married in November 1875[9] and shortly after the wedding, the newly-weds move to Karpalund in Färlöv parish. Per works as a farm hand on Karpalund's farm,[10][11] they have their first child Elna in 1877 and the following year the small family moves to Karpalundshusen in Norra Åsum parish,[12] it is unclear what they do there as it says that they are "housed". There is no record of what Per does for a living. In Karpalund their children Nils, Maria, Anna and Karl are born.[13] The daughter Anna dies in December 1887, a month later Maria dies, six months later in July Anna dies as well,[14] there is no cause of death mentioned in the death book. She leaves behind her husband Per, her daughter Elna and her sons Nils and Karl.[15]
In December 1889 Per marries Anna Jonasdotter,[16] who now moves from Näsum to Lillö in the parish of Norra Åsum, where Per also moves with his three children.[17] Anna has a small daughter, named Syster Jenny. The newly married couple's sons Janne and Otto are born on Lillö. Nils moves to Skepparslöv in 1894,[18] and the rest of the family moves to Norra Strö parish, Strö No 22, where they rent a small farm. Here children Anna and Oskar are born, the latter dies after 8 months.[19] A few years later their daughter Alma is born.[20]
Syster Jenny leaves home in 1903, in 1908 Karl and Janne move to Färlöv while the rest of the family moves to Ignaberga, Troedstorp No 1.[21] Per is now a resident, they live in their own house. Otto moves to Kristianstad in 1916, Anna and Alma also move the same year, perhaps to Kristianstad?[22] 1920 Per and his wife Anna move back to Norra Strö parish but this time to Kålaberga No 6, the same year in November Per and Anna divorce,[23] she moves to Kristianstad and he to Rickarum No 7 in Äsphult where he becomes a homeowner.[24] Per gets pneumonia and dies there, in May 1923.[25] He was buried in Norra Åsum.
