Biography

Birth 1882

See photo. Carmine's father is not listed but Filomena's is listed as the now deceased Nicola Maria. NOTE that Giovanni's death is also listed in the stamped area to the right.

Witnesses were Michele Fiore (son of the deceased Antonio) and Domenico Ferrucci (son of the deceased Alberto)[1]

Possible Trip 1907

See Photo. Multiple Giovanni Andreola's are associated with both Casalvecchio and Milford so I can't be sure if this is correct. If this is the correct Giovanni, he arrived just in time for his marriage![2]

Marriage 1907

See line 36 in the photo. April 21, 1907 in Milford, MA. Both of their parents are listed.

See also the photo of the Sep. 8, 1907 recording of this marriage in the Caslavecchio register. It adds that Luigi Niro and Maria Giuseppa Niro testified for the ceremony.

Living with In-Laws 1910

Giovanni and Mariannina are living with her parents at 55 Beach St.

Arcangela and Rose are already born.

Another trip 1912?

This could be another Giovanni Andreola. I included it because it shows the destination of Cleveland--similar to Michele's.

WWI draft 1918

Working in the foundry at Ames Plow Co. in Framingham and still living at 55 Beach St., Milford, MA.[3]

Misc

I know that all up to the fourth child, Filomena, were born in the USA. All 4 of those children had their births in Massachusetts registered in Casalvecchio in 1914. Giovanni and Mariannina moved back to Italy at some point after 1913--see Rosina's 1915 death; the family was living in at 10 Vico primo Cairoli in Casalvecchio --see photo of Arcangela's passport application. By Michelangelo's 1920 birth, the family was in 7 Vico primo Cairoli, which was the family home where Giovanni was born and where his father died.
