Biography

Philippe Andrepont, son of Joseph Andrepont and Marie Therese Langlois, was born 19 May 1810 at St. Landry Parish, Louisiana. His birth and baptism were recorded at St. Landry Catholic Church, Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.[1]

He married Emeline Pitre, daughter of Joseph Pitre and Sophie Fontenot, on 7 November 1833 in St. Landry Parish.[1]

  3. Felicia Andrepont (1839–1880)
  4. Hermina Andrepont (1843–)
  5. Aurélia Andrepont (1846–1922)

  7. Zelima Andrepont (1852–1864)

Philippe died before 6 January 1854, the date of his succession, at St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.[1]

Slaves

He was counted on the Slave Schedule of the 1850 US Census in St. Landry Parish, Louisiana as the owner of one seventy-year-old Black woman, and one twenty-year-old Black man. No other information was listed.[4]
