Biography

Cornelius was raised and confirmed as a Lutheran. In 1706 he traveled to Amsterdam, Holland to ask for instruction in the Mennonite faith. On 15 Aug 1706 he was baptized as a Mennonite. In 1736 he was elected Ältester (Elder) of the Grosses Werder Mennonite Church.
