Margit was born about 1897. ^[1]

In 1910, her mother was a widow and Margit was living in an orphanage for poor children. There was also Tordis Dagmar Andresen living at the orphanage - likely a sister. (Tordis' marriage record lists Oskar Andresen as father but no birth record found.)^[2] "Pleiebarn Delv.
