Donna was born in 1930.
She married comedian Stan Freberg in 1959.
As a young woman, Donna was hired as an assitant to producer Jack Donahue on the popular television comedy shows, Martin & Lewis, George Gobel, and Red Skelton. She also aided Donahue with the Colgate Comedy Hour and two television specials for Frank Sinatra. She then worked as an executive assistant to Peter Lawford on his series The Thin Man.
in 1958, she went to work as a secretary for comedian Stan Freberg, but quickly took over the role as his producer. a year later, the couple was married. From that point on, for more than forty years, Donna served as editor and producer of her husband's work in advertising, television, radio, and recording.
She passed away from lung cancer, 12 May 2000, at her home in Beverly Hills, California.
