She and William and their children came to the US in 1842. 
They were one of the early families at the Scottish Settlement at Argyle in Illinois.
She passed away in 1881.

Mrs. William Ralston, who died recently in Caledonia, at the residence of her son, William Ralston, was a native of Argyleshire, Scotland, and came with her husband to Boone county in 1842, and was one of the pioneers of the settlement.
She was a life long consistent member of the Scotch Presbyterian church. She raised a family of ten children, all of them an honor and pride to her declining years, and nine of whom still survive her.
