Biography

Henry Andrew has Irish ancestors.

Henry was born in Howick, Auckland, New Zealand on 14 Oct 1842, a few days after the ship "Duchess of Argyle" landed in Mechanics Bay from Scotland. His mother did well carrying a baby to almost full term whilst on board a rolling ship!

He is the son of Irish parents, Robert James Andrew and Mary (Donaghy) Andrew. [1]
