Biography

(Left Troon, Scotland for Glasgow in May 1861 to work on a ship as an engineer; his friends gifted him an engraved fob watch with a horseshoe charm (left to granddaughter Elaine after death of his son Fred Andrew in 2012).) ---unsure family story after finding death registration

Was he naturalized in the US??? Many similarities such as same birth date, birth location, occupation as a machinist/engineer, listed a brother Fred Andrew. Could have immigrated to US ~14 Aug 1909/10, naturalized 14 Feb 1911, then moved to Canada (maybe Oct 1911??) during or after WW1 and become a farmer in Richmond BC??? If so, what a ride! Need to collaborate dates on documents to double check.
