Biography
Maria was born in 1845 in Southampton, Hampshire. She is the daughter of Edward Andrews and Maria Ellyett. She moved to Kilmarnock, Scotland with her mother Maria and brother Edward shortly after the death of her father. Maria married James Stevenson on 15th December 1864. They had nine children. Tragically Maria died at the young age of 33 and is buried with five of her children who died in infancy in High Kirk Churchyard in Kilmarnock, Ayrshire, Scotland.
