Rachel married James Colman, son of James and Sarah Colman, intention published at Ipswich on January 11, 1733. At that time both were residents of "Chebacco Parish", which was then a part of Ipswich.[1][2][3][4]
They removed to Ashburnham, Massachusetts, in 1743, and about 1763 to the northern part of Ashby, Massachusetts. Husband James died August 15, 1773.[2]
Rachel (Andrews) Colman died in Ashby on April 27, 1803, at the age of 92.[1][2] She is buried at Ashby First Parish Burial Ground in Ashby. The lower portion of her gravestone is obscured by a large tree trunk, but reads in part: "SACRED | to the memory of | Mrs. RACHEL COLMAN | wife of | Mr. JAMES COLMAN | who died ..."
