Ruth was born 1 July 1634 in Boxford, England.
Matthew Stanley and Ruth Andrews were married in 1653 in Topsfield, Essex, Massachusetts Bay.[1][2] These are their known children:
The Essex Antiquarian is the only source that so far suggests that Ruth Andrews may have married Matthew Stanley. In the text Matthew is first fined for stealing the affections of Rebekah Tarbox, and then fined along with Ruth Andrews for fornication. The fornication fine may have been remitted if Ruth and Matthew married and this is what leads us to name Matthew Stanley's wife Ruth Andrews. Unfortunately there is no record of the marriage in Topsfield or Salem and the Topsfield birth records only list the father's name.
