John was born in 1753. He is the son of Edward Andrews and Sarah Thomason.
He was baptised 18 February 1753 in Gussage All Saints [1]
On 27 December 1786 William Andrews, Rake and Fork maker of Woodland, Dorset, along with John Andrews, labourer of the same place and John Doe, stood as bondsmen for William's wife Mary wife of the above bounden William Andrews, the lawful sister, next of kin and administratrix of...... John Dove late of Wimborne St Giles...[2].
Banns of marriage were published at Horton on the 16th, 23rd and 30th November 1788 between John Andrews and Elizabeth Amey, both of the parish of Woodlands [3].

John Andrews of Gussage All Saints was remanded to prison in 1800 for stealing barley. He is described as age 41, 5' 6" tall, black hair, bronze complexion and grey eyes. He was found guilty and sentenced to one month at hard labour. [5]
John Andrews died in 1814 and was buried at Gussage All Saints on the 15th May [6]
