Thomas was born about 1610 (His birthdate is estimated and is based on his spouse's. birthdate.).
Thomas Andrewes of Southbroom married Jone Collens of Southbroom on 5 Oct 1637 in St James’, Southbroom, Wiltshire, England.[1]
Checked Southbroom parish records for baptism without success. The marriage indicates he is from Southbroom parish and there are records for this period, but this particular one might not have survived, or he might have been christened elsewhere. It seems unlikely that he would be from Ogbourne since it is not contiguous with Southbroom, however the two are only about 14 miles apart. Andrews is a common surname in England and there are a number of other possibilities for his christening. For example, he may be the Thomas Androes christened in Bishops Canning, Wiltshire (a parish contiguous with Southbroom) on 17 Jan 1612/3 with father George Androes.[2]. There are a number of other possibilities in different parishes.
The Thomas Andrews christened in Ogbourne St Andrew in 1601/2 is likely to be the son of Thomas Andros and Agnes Tarrant who married in Ogbourne St Andrew on 1 Aug 1597.[3]
There is no evidence that either man is the son of Thomas Andrews and Symmo Brunden. They have therefore been detached as this man’s parents.
