When Louisa Matilda Andrews was born on February 23, 1849, in Inverness, Quebec, Canada, her father, George, was 37, and her mother, Mary, was 34. She married Angus Brodie on July 6, 1880, in her hometown. They had six children in 13 years. She died in May 1935 in Alberta, Canada, at the age of 86, and was buried in Cereal, Alberta, Canada.
