Biography

Job Andrews son of John Andrews and his wife, Elizabeth Amey, was baptised at Horton in Dorset on the 1st of January 1792. [1]

He married Jane Cuff, daughter of John Cuff and his wife, Mary Cole, at Horton on the 12th of June 1810. [2] In 1820 Job was in trouble with the law accused of larceny by Josiah Wareham, convicted and sentenced to six months imprisonment. [3] [4] He was also held on a charge of poaching [5] but by 1841 Job was earning his living as a gamekeeper. [6]

Job died early in 1850, his death being registered at Wimborne. [7] He was buried at Horton on the 21st of January. [8]
