Biography

David, the second son of Job and Jane Andrews, was baptised at Horton in Dorset on 3 January 1813. At least eight more children followed. He married local girl, Elizabeth Husher, at Horton on 9 March 1839 when he was 26. Their daughter, Charlotte, was born in August. He has not been found in the 1841 Census but his wife and child were living in Horton with his father-in-law, Robert Husher. Two children were born to David and Eliza in Scotland between the years 1844 and 1847 but by 1854 they were back in England, living at Woodlands in Dorset where David was occupied as a grocer. Their fourth child, Marianne, was born there that year.

Life changed around 1880. They had moved to Cranborne where David was working as an agricultural labourer and their daughter, Marianne, gave birth to a daughter, Lily Anne.

David died late in 1889, his death being registered at Ringwood.
