Ethel married Edgar Freeman and moved to Sable River in 1919[6][7]. Around 1925, they moved to New England.
In 1930, Ethel was enumerated as a widow in Syracuse NY[8], however she and Edgar Freeman must have been divorced, as he was still alive, and both couples remarried.
In 1938, Ethel did state she was divorced when she married James Henry Graham[9], however the couple separated soon afterward, and Ethel lived in Sable River with a companion, Jerry Chisholm.
Her grandson recalls she lived in old age in Dorothy Harlow's care home in Sable River. Family papers note her death March 7, 1966[10]
