Adonijah was born about 1772. He is devised land in his father's 1789 will. The assumption is he was bout sixteen years old.[1] Of further interest, his name is listed as Adonijah Anders. He is listed on the 1810 census being between 26-44. His spouse was of the same age cohort. They had one son and one daughter under age ten.[2] Two of his sisters married sons of neighbor William Lipsey. These two families were very close, not only in proximity, but close friends, with several intermarriages that branched out through a couple of generations. After extensive study, the conclusion is that Adonijah married a daughter of William Lipsey, namely Anna Lipsey. Adonijah Andrews passed away in 1833.
