Moses and his brothers were born in the vast, early Bladen County, the part that became Anson, then Mecklenburg, and lastly, Cabarrus County, North Carolina.
Moses was deeded 130 acres in 1769 by John and Elizabeth Mitchell that was originally granted to Ambrose Harding in 1763 Bk 10 page 180 He was mentioned as an adjacent landowner in a grant to James Wilson near the mouth of Fulmer's branch of Coddle Creek in 1780. Deed Book 12 page 558 The 1790 Federal Census for Mecklenburg County lists Moses Andrews as head of household 1 FWM over sixteen, 1 FWM under sixteen and 2 females. The next two head of households listed are both Robert Andrews. Buried in Poplar Tent Presbyterian Cemetary, Concord, North Carolina. Please see find a grave link for picture of his tombstone.
