Marritje Andries was baptized 22 Oct 1664 to Andries Andrieszen and Niesie Huytes in the Dutch Reform Church of New Netherlands. [1] She was the fourth child born to her parents, but the first three children seem to have died in infancy. At the age of 19 she married Heyman Koning and together they had 8 children. [2]
The last time her husband, Heyman Koning, showed up in the records was for the birth of their last child, Maria, in 1702. However, Marritje was listed as "Marretie Coning" when she was a witness at the baptism of her sister-in-law's daughter, Johanna Lathen, on 3 Sep 1704. The next year she was listed as "Marritje Koning, wid." at the baptism of sister's son, Jan Van Pelt, on 15 Aug 1705. Heyman Koning must have died around 1705. Marritie's youngest child, Maria, would have been only 3 years old.
He mother wrote her will in 1716 naming Maritie as her oldest daughter. Maritie and her nephew Johannes Poel were to be executors and were the main beneficiaries.[3]
After her husband's death, Marritie continued to be a witness at the baptisms of her children's children. The last time she appeared in the records was in 1724 at the baptism of her daughter Maria's son, Johannes Van Gelder, baptized 26 Feb 1724 in the Dutch Reform Church of New Amsterdam. [4]
Named as a widowed daughter in her mother's will of 24 June 1716. [5]

Andries-40 and Andries-7 appear to represent the same person because: This is the oldest maternal ancestor in this chain in need of a merge into the NNS PPP. No tree conflicts. Thanks!
