Birth : Vers 1673 St-Julien, Ussel, ev. St-Flour, Auvergne (ar. St-Flour, Cantal)[1]

son of François André and Marguerite Coulau (or Coulan), of France, he is listed as being 40 when he marries Élisabeth Guilbert

they have 7 known children, 3 of whom are known to die young, and 4 of whom are known to marry

They were residents of St-Laurent parish on Montreal island in later years, being listed as residing on côte St-Michel on early baptisms of their children.

He dies in 1727, and is given the age of 50 on his funeral record, which lists him as Antoine Lafontaine

His wife remarries in 1729
