Claudius Eugene Ange was born on 14 January 1926 in Washington, North Carolina, United States, son of Andrew Jethro Ange (1901–1959) and Lyda Elizabeth Browning (1907–1990).

Claudius died on 5 September 1971 in Plymouth, Washington, aged 45. He was buried in Jackson Cemetery, Plymouth, Washington County, North Carolina.[1]
