Joseph Harmon Ange was born on 10 Oct 1866 in Washington, North Carolina, United States, son of Joseph Emsley Ange (1830 - 1887) and Emma Eliza (Martin) Ange (1840 - 1913).

Joseph married Virginia Ambrose (1879 - 1966) on 31 Mar 1900 in Washington County, North Carolina[1]. Their children were:

  1. Joseph Leon Ange Sr. (1903 - 1970)
  2. James Wilbur Ange (1905 - 1984).

Joseph died on 28 Oct 1925 in Plymouth, Washington, North Carolina aged 59. He is buried in Joseph H Ange Cemetery, Washington County.[2][3]
