On 14 June 1940, Reg and Phyllis' first child, a son, was stillborn

This baby is still known affectionately within the family as "Baby Angel". Some family sources (who were contemporaries of Reg and Phyllis) believe the baby was named Jamie, but this has never been confirmed.
