"HUSBAND, WIFE DIE APRIL 16-46 MR. AND MRS. GEORGE ANGEL PASS AWAY WITHIN THREE DAYS

"George W. Angel, 73, died at his home in the north part of town at 2:30 p.m. Monday, April 16th, from uremic poisoning. He was the son of John and Sarah Angel, born in Atkins county, Ohio, on May 1st, 1871.

"When he was six months old his parents moved to Wisconsin and in 1883 they came to La Porte City where Mr. Angel has lived in this vicinity since. He farmed most of his life until he retired on account of his health.

"On April 6, 1897, he was married to Nora Carson at Colesburg, Iowa. She died on November 3, 1930. Five children were born to this union.

"On July 18, 1932, he was married to Mrs. Rose Good, who preceded him just two days ago in death. He is survived by two sons, John of La Porte City, Walter of Madison, Wis., three daughters, Mrs. Pete Riggle of Waterloo, Mrs. Clarence Milne of near Dysart and Fern L. Angel of Davenport. Eleven grandchildren and two geat grandchildren, one step-daughter, Mrs. Beatrice Althouse of Waterloo, and nine step grandchildren also survive.

"Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 with Rev. K. E. Ruse officiating. Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Burr san accompanied by Mrs. C. A. Brust.

"Casket bearers were Dallas Husman, Frank Krebs, P. W. O'Brien, Henry Bookmeier, O. S. Fry and Albert Cole.
