The biography for Michael Angell
I was born in 1940 six months after the start of WW2 in* Brocket Hall,* Lemsford, Hertfordshire, England. My heritage is Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire, My wifes heritage is more expansive Somerset, Northumberland, Scotland and Ireland, we have five children and eight grandchidren. Although always interested in family history I did not pursue it until the children wanted to know how many cousins they had in England and who they were, as we had migrated to Australia when they were young. I enjoy working on profiles and updating them with more accurate information. I use LDS for some of my research and also help out with Indexing when possible. I have found that some of my ancestors were Mormon Pioneers with the John Smith Company that made the trek from Nauvoo, Illinois to Salt Lake. I also have other ancestors and relations in Australia that are descended from a convict ancestor who was sentenced to 7 years and transportation for highway robbery in 1828. entered 8 Dec 2017

I would like to thank you for all your contributions towards the goals of the England Project during the past six months. We've achieved a huge amount during this period and we couldn't have done it without you and our other project members.
As the England Project Leaders, we are completing our six monthly check-in with all project members.
Are you happy to stay in your current project teams? Which teams are you most active in? Are there other teams you would like to join or become more active in?
Also, do you have any feedback on what the project is doing well and anything we could do better in the future?
Please respond to this message by posting a reply below or sending me a private message. I look forward to hearing from you.
Many thanks!
Amelia, England Project Leader
It's that time of the year again: check-in time! As England Project Leaders, we like to check in with you every six months or so to see how things are progressing. Back in May, we didn't ask for a response due to the rapid emergence of Covid-19 because we understood that people's lives were changing rapidly. While we are still living in a Covid world, we do need to hear back from you this time around.
First of all, how are you doing? What are you currently working on? Are you happy with the team(s) you're in, or would you like to change things up?
Secondly, we're looking for some feedback on the Google Group and our Discord server. Do you use either or both of these? If you don't use either, why not? Do you have any suggestions on how we can improve participation and collaboration, either generally or for you personally?
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Joan, Amy & Lizzie.
I am happy to continue but would like to exchange Bedfordshire for Somerset and I did ask some time ago about Joining Hertfordshire as that is where my line of the Angel/Angell family originate and where I was born. With regard to the Google Group I monitor all communications but have not had the need to use it so far, I have no knowledge of the Discord Server and whether it would benefit my use.
Best regards and Stay Safe
Michael
Your England Leaders are completing the six monthly check in with all team members. I wanted to thank you for your work on English Profiles and particularly your work in the Connectors. These are unprecedented and difficult times, and we understand as Project Leaders that your situation may have changed somewhat in the last few months. What we are all able to/ wish to contribute on Wikitree has changed. Please let me know if you are happy with your current role and team choice or if you wish to do something additional or different. Thank you again on behalf of all the project leaders for everything you do!
Kindest Regards, Amy Utting
Happy to continue with Beds and Bucks, would like to be involved with Hertfordshire as it is my home county
Michael
I sent you a message a while ago on behalf of the England Project Leaders and have yet to heard back from you. I hope you are well.
One of the requirements of membership in the England Project is that you respond to the six-monthly check-ins.
If I dont hear from you in the next week or so Ill assume you no longer wish to be in the project and go ahead and remove you. You would, of course, be most welcome to rejoin at any time via the G2G sign-up post.
Best wishes,
Susie :-)
On behalf of the England Leaders, I wanted to say a huge thank you for all your contributions towards the project in the past six months as a Team Member for Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire. We've achieved a great deal during this time and we couldn't have done it without you.
Are you happy to stay in your current teams and the project as a whole? Are there any other teams you'd like to join? What are we doing well, and what would you like to see us doing differently moving forwards?
Please respond to this message via e-mail. I look forward to hearing from you.
Many thanks,
Susie, England Project Leader :-)
We realise the time has come to dissolve the UK Project in favour of the individual country projects of England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland.
We are checking in with all UK badge holders to find out which country project(s) you would like to be in so you can collaborate with other members, have the opportunity to select which team(s) you would like to join, and so we can ensure you have all the correct badges.
Please respond by PM to let us know which country project(s) you would like to be in. Please dont assume we know. We are effectively starting from scratch to make sure no one falls through the cracks.
Once you have done this, the Coordinator for Membership in the relevant country project(s) will be in touch to help get you situated.
Many thanks,
Susie
On behalf of the England Project Leaders we're carrying out a check-in to see how all the members are doing and taking the opportunity to thank you for all your hard work over the past six months. We have been so impressed with the way everyone has rallied together and gone the extra mile to make this one of the most dedicated, productive and friendly communities on WikiTree. What are you enjoying most about being in the project? What would you like to see improved or changed? Would you like to continue in the project moving forwards?
We're looking forward to hearing back from you,
Susie, Gillian, Wendy and Amy
Just checking in to see if you are ok :)
It has been 3 weeks since I posted a message on your profile and I have not had any feedback from you.
If I don't hear from you by the weekend, I will presume you no longer wish to be involved in the England Project.
I will then go ahead and remove you from the project and remove the badge.
Hope to hear from you soon :)
Thanks,
Wendy Leader, England Project
It's been a year since the England Project was re-ignited. Thank you for being part of this exciting journey!
We really appreciate all your contributions and hard work :)
We would love some feedback from you please. :)
Are you happy contributing with the team you are on, or would you like a change, or even add to another team?
If you are not already on a team, which one would you like to be on?
If you are not sure what is available, just ask, we are here to help :)
Are you still happy contributing to the England Project?
Please PM me through my profile and let me know how you are doing :)
Thank you :)
Wendy Leader England Project.
You have received the England badge for being an active member of the England Project.
Thank you!!
Wendy
As Susie mentioned in our newsletter, one of us would check in to see how you are doing, so here I am :)
Firstly on behalf of us all, I would like to say a big thank you for all the hard work you are putting into the Project. Your work has not gone unnoticed, & we would greatly appreciate your feedback & input on what you would like to see happening within the project as we move forward.
Do you have anything special you would like to see in the project, or have something you really wanted to explore which isn't in the project?
Have you found your niche in the project?
Please feel free to post your thoughts in our Google Group, or you can send me a PM, either will be great.
Thank You again
Wendy
Wish you a Happy New Year. May 2018 bring you all you need to be happy.
Congratulation for adding your contributions in December. Whatever the quantity of your contributions, they all count. As I always say "Quality is better than quantity" to make a great family tree.
Thank you for being a Wikitreer,
Guy Constantineau - Wikitree leader
