In the 1880 US Census for Sulphur Springs Precint, Morgan, Illinois, Elizabeth is age 22 and living with her husband, Samuel, age 24 and their daughter Etheline, born in April of 1880. [2] Samuel's grandmother, Mary Thompson, age 83, was also in the household.
The 1900 Census for Tonkawa, Kay, Oklahoma Territory, lists Samuel, 44, Elizabeth, 43, daughter Ethel, 20, Edgar, 17, Samuel, 13, and Ernest, 8. The youngest two were born in Kansas, the older children and their parents were all born in Illinois. [3]
The family was in Red River, Tillman, Oklahoma, for the 1910 census, and included Samuel, Elizabeth and son Ray E, age 18. [4]
Elizabeth Thompson died in Tillman County, Oklahoma on 23 December, 1914. [5] She was buried in Frederick Memorial Cemetery , Frederick, Tillman County, Oklahoma, and her tombstone is inscribed: Elizabeth E., wife of S.S. Thompson; Jan 1, 1858; Dec 23, 1914. [6]
