Seems odd that father George Anger, his son John C Anger both die in 1813.
Gerg Friedrick Anger was born in Saddler, Germany in 1721; died 1813 in Niagara, Welland County, Ontario. About 1763 in Bertie Township, Welland County, Ontario, George married Maria (maiden name unknown) who was born in 1721 in Germany. >
George Frederick Anger was born 1721 in Germany, and died 1812 in Bertie Township, Welland County, Ontario. He married Maria Bef. 1759. She was born 1721 in Germany, and died Aft. 1807 in Bertie Tp. Welland Co. ON.
In UEL List, he is noted as ‘Junior'; in other sources such as Phil Wilson, he is called Sr. But his son Frederick was too young to be involved in the American Rev., and Wilson’s genealogy does not go back further than this G. F. Anger.
Two brothers named Anger (or Ahinger came from Germany at an early date and settled at a place called Clobrock, N.Y. Both fought for the British Crown during the revolutionary war and when General Washington finally triumphed, they, with the Nears (German, Neher) Hoffmans and other loyalists came to Canada, bringing with them what they could with ox teams. Augustus Anger settled near Dunnvill; John Charles Anger in Bertie and had three sons, Augustus, John Charles and Frederick. Frederick died a bachelor. Augustus married and has many descendants now living in the country. John Charles married Abigail Near in Bertie in 1787.
Note: This is confusing...were there 2 John Charles Anger? 2 Augustus?
