ANGUS, James Alexander -September 9, 1949 (after a long illness) at his residence, Martha Street Yagoona (formerly of Kogarah) loved husband of Serena and loving father of Clara (Mrs.Doughan), Gladys (deceased), James, Doris (deceased), Edna (Mrs. Skelton), Raymond and Audrey (Mrs. Baker), aged 80 years.[5]
The book I wrote in 2007 incorrectly identified the husband and children of Serena Williams.
What should have been in the book was:
Serena Williams, daughter of Mary Ann and Thomas, was born in the Braidwood region in 1880. In 1909 she married James Angus at Waterloo, a suburb of Sydney. James was born in 1868 in Sydney, son of William Angus and Georgiana Grimwood, married in 1867 in Sydney. Serena's and James' three children, Edna, Raymond and Audrey were born at Kogarah, a suburb of Sydney, between 1910 and 1914. Serena died at Kogarah in 1965 and is buried in Woronora Cemetery at Sutherland, a suburb of Sydney. James died at Yagoona, a suburb of Sydney, in 1949 and is also buried in Woronora Cemetery. Of Serena's and James' children, Edna and Raymond were both buried in Woronora Cemetery. (Myles Hannan, 5 Apr 2020)
