Alexander was born in 1841.

Alexander, child of William Angus & Hannah Angus, was baptised on 16 May 1841 in St Augustine the Less, Bristol.^[1]

In the 1851 census Alexander (age 9) was the son of William Angus in Bristol St Andrew, Gloucestershire, England.^[2]

He immigrated to the US in 1857 [per the 1900 census].
