8 Jul 1954 - Edward Gerald Angwin, 27, of East street, Brompton, was charged with being accessory after the fact of the theft of ₤105 worth of Copper.
Supreme Court - Adelaide-
21 July 1954 - Mr F B. Moran, for Angwin. said his client's father died when he was four, and his early life was difficult. He had received nothing from the present offence except the fact that he had been in custody since June 1.
His Honor— Neither did anyone else get anything, because the affair was discovered.
Mr. Moran— He was brought into it at the request of Hay. Angwin would go away to the country and work. In the country he does not offend.
31 July 1954 - Edward was lucky he was was released under a bond of £25. to be of good behaviour for 12 months and to live and work in the country and to avoid undesirable associations. At his Honor's request, Angwin promised, not as a term of the bond, to be a teetotaller for six months.
