Biography
Saint Emiliana was the sister of St Tarsilla, Gordiana and Gordian (the father of Pope St Gregory the Great).[1]
She lived with her sister in their father's house on the Clivus Scauri as if it were a monastery. Their nephew Gregory tells that Tarsilla was visited one night with a vision of her great-grandfather , Pope St Felix II, who showed a place prepared for her in heaven, saying, "Come: I will receive you into this habitation of light". She fell sick soon after and died. A few days later she appeared to Emiliana, and called her to celebrate the Epiphany in heaven. Emiliana died on 5 January.[2]
