Biography

Mary's children Nancy and Sarah are named in her father Richard's 1794 will, and her mother Elizabeth mentions daughter Mary Delashmutt in her own 1796 will, leaving the share of property to Mary's children.[1]

More research is needed to determine Mary's husband. Virgil Close postulates that she may be a first wife of Basil Delashmutt, based on a letter Basil's son Elias wrote to his brother Lindsey mentioning Sarah and Ann Delashmutt as heirs of Elias and Lindsey's brother John.[2] If so, Mary would have died before 1782, when Basil married Mary Jacobs.

Spouse - Elias Nelson Delashmutt 1739–1809

Burial

Green Lawn Cemetery Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio, USA
