Biography

Charles was born in 1863. He passed away in 1919. Charles was caretaker for the Governor's summer estate in Warwick. It was called the Governor Francis Farms because Mrs. Brown was the daughter of a governor of Rhode Island and the house was hers. She married a man who was not one of the Browns of Rhode Island

In the summer, his family lived in a small house on the property.

Later in life (1911) ,he bought a farm in Rehoboth on Moulton Street near Coffin Corners not far from what later came to be the Little Red Schoolhouse around the corner; a school registered for pre-school children.
