Biography
- Mary Ravlin (Ansley) Jordan was born on January 31, 1808 in Abbeville, South Carolina, United States. Her parents were David Ansley (~1783 - ~1824) and Margaret (Ravlin) Ansley (1785 - 1835).
- Mary married Samuel Jordan (1793 - 1876) in 1825 in Abbeville, son of Thomas and Eleanor Jordan of Cedar Springs. This union had seven children. Samuel was a respected attorney and a ruling elder of Cedar Springs A. R. P. Church.
