Biography
Selina Anstey was born on 10 Nov 1845 in Birmingham, Warwickshire, England to Joseph Anstey and Jane (Kimberley) Anstey. Her birth was registered in Aston, Warwickshire in the last quarter of the year, with mother's maiden name Kimberley.[1]
Selina Anstey, daughter of Joseph & Jane, born 10 Nov 1845, was christened on 1 Jan 1846 at St Martin, Birmingham.[2]
Selina's mother passed away in 1847, and her father married Harriet Jones in 1848.
In 1851 Selina Anstey (age 5, Scholar) lived at Ryland Street in Birmingham with her father Joseph (36, Brass Founder), stepmother Harriet (34), brother Alfred (10, Scholar), sister Lavenia (7, Scholar), and half-brother William (2, Scholar).[3]
In 1861 Selina Anstey (age 15) lived at Trent Street in Birmingham with her father Joseph (46, Brass Puncher), stepmother Harriett (44), brother Alfred (20, Brass Puncher), sister Lavinia (17), and five half-siblings: William (11, Scholar), Frederick (9, Scholar), Jane (7, Scholar), Harriett (5), and Joseph (2).[4]
Selina Anstey passed away in 1862, aged 16 years. Her death was registered in Birmingham in the first quarter of the year.[5]
