I'm inclined to think Jill made a mistake re Thomas Roberts? Foley-1031 19:25, 26 August 2016 (EDT)

Note

There is a big discrepancy in the birthdate of Keziah. The date ranges from 1793, to 1816. I'll go with the earlier date, to avoid the suggestion that she had son Robert at age 4, and married a man 40 years her senior. There are no sources that I could find, anywhere, so take all of this as speculative. Note, the number of children variously attributed to Keziah seems to range from 12 to 25, and values in between. From an online Ancestry.com discussion: "Yes, William Roberts did purchase a fishing room in 1839. Robert Roberts was listed on the document as a witness ... I believe that these two parties essentially bought Bluff Heads Cove and started the Roberts families in that area. The original owner apparently was a William Anstey and I note that Robert Roberts, b. 1786, married Kezia Anstey who was born in 1816. They had quite a few children. I think the BHC deal was some family thing but of course there is no way to tell. Anyway, there is quite a lot of Roberts activity between BHC and Twillingate in the 1800's..."[2]
