George was born in the Wyoming Territory around 1869.^[1]

He was the second husband of Annie Ferrell and they had at least two children together.^[2]

  • His own responses to the 1920 and 1930 censuses state he was born in Wyoming.
  • I've opted to use his census responses since they're consistent across different years and likely came from George, himself.
  • Additionally, I've found evidence that a William Anthens (possibly George's grandfather or father) was a pioneer who settled in Casper, Wyoming.
