When Sara Jane Anthony was born on March 24, 1867, in Garland, Arkansas, her father, Salvadore A Anthony, was 22, and her mother, Nancy Jane (Carpenter) Anthony, was 22. In the 1870 census Sarah (age 3) was in South Fork, Montgomery, Arkansas.^[1] In the 1880 census Sarah (age 13) was the daughter of Salvadore Anthony in Lee, Garland, Arkansas, United States.^[2]She married Hugh Madison Lambert on October 4, 1887, in Hot Springs, Arkansas.^[3] In the 1900 census Sarah (age 33) was the wife of Hugh M Lambert in Caney, Montgomery, Arkansas.^[4]They had eight children in 18 years. In the 1910 census Sarah (age 43) was the wife of Hugh M Lambert in Mazarn, Garland, Arkansas, United States.^[5] In the 1930 census Sarah (age 63) was the wife of Hugh M Lambert in Crystal, Garland, Arkansas, United States.^[6] In the 1940 census Sarah (age 73) was the widowed mother-in-law of William E Garrett in Ouachita, Garland, Arkansas.^[7] In the 1950 census Sarah (age 83) was the widowed mother-in-law of William E Garrett in Valley, Garland, Arkansas, United States.^[8] She died on May 26, 1958, in Royal, Arkansas, at the age of 91,^[9] and was buried there.^[10]
