Phyllis Antle McDaniel, age 88 of Glouster, died Saturday, Aug. 13, 2011, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital in Parkersburg, W.VA.

She was born Dec. 28, 1922 in Trimble Township, Athens County, the daughter of the late Carl and Vernice White Antle.

A graduate of Trimble High School, she was formerly employed at the ASCS office in Champaign and Athens Counties and was a lifetime member of the Hooper Ridge Church of Christ.

She is survived by two sons and their wives- George W. “Bill” and Carolyn McDaniel of Pomeroy and Paul E. and Charlene McDaniel of Belpre; five grandchildren- Rochelle (Bill) Lawless of Middleport, Roxanne (Sean) O’Malley of Park Ridge, IL, Brant (Kristin) McDaniel of Parkersburg, WV, Todd (Nikki) McDaniel of Belpre, and Kristen (Heath) Lyons of Belpre; seven great grandchildren; a brother and his wife, Darrell and Frances Antle of Athens; a sister in law, Betty McDaniel of LeMont, Missouri; several nieces and cousins

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn E. McDaniel in 2003.

Funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, August 17th at 2:00 p.m. in the Hooper Ridge Church of Christ, with Evangelist Don Seevers officiating, with burial in the adjoining cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Jagers and Sons Funeral Home, Athens.
