Mary was born on the 20th of May 1917 in Chipman, Alberta[1] Harry Antoniuk[1] and Annie Hrehirchuk[1].

Family life

She would marry Walter Warshawski in July of 1941[1]. Mike Antoniuk and Sophia Hrehirchuk would be the witnesses.


She died on the 29th of December 2008 and would be burie di the Holy Cross Cemetery in Edmonton, Alberta[2]

It is with sadness that we, the family of Mary Warshawski, announce her passing on December 29, 2008 at the age of 91 years.

Mary will be lovingly remembered by her children, MaryAnne (James) Pollock of Gleniffer Lake, John Warshawski of Sylvan Lake, Linda (Allan) Webb of St. Albert, Rosemarie (Dennis) Robertson of Calgary, Katherine (Douglas) Hargreaves of Carvel, and Elizabeth Black of Edmonton; her grandchildren, Terri (Ken) Hart, Tammy Pollock (Larry), Steven Warshawski, Trina Warshawski (Ted), Todd (Sylvia) Warshawski, Kimberley Webb, Michelle (Mark) Abbott, Carla Webb, Michael Webb and Evan Robertson; her great-grandchildren, Jeff, Katelyn and Leigh Hart, Riley Warshawski, Deric and Arwynn Abbott. She also leaves step-grandchildren, Jim (Margaret) Hargreaves, Donald (Vik) Hargreaves, Elizabeth Hargreaves and Jason (Asia) Hargreaves and two sisters-in-law, Pearl Warshawski and Irene Warshawski. Mary was predeceased by her husband, Walter (1978); son-in-law, Milton Black (1988); grandson, Timothy Pollock (1991); great-grandchildren, Nathan and Alaina Abbott (2004); siblings, Fred, John, Jenny Winnick and parents, Harry and Anna Antoniuk.

Visitation at 10:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to follow on Saturday, January 3, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Albert Catholic Parish, 7 St. Vital Avenue, St. Albert, AB. Reverend Paul Moret officiating with interment in Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of floral tributes, a donation to one of Mary’s favorite charities, Edmonton Humane Society (SPCA), 12251 - 67 Street, Edmonton, AB T5B 1M8, Youth Emergency Shelter Society of Edmonton, P. O. Box 4970, South Edmonton Station, Edmonton, AB T6E 5G8 or to the Sturgeon Community Hospital Foundation, 201 Boudreau Road, St, Albert, AB T8N 6C4 would be appreciated.
