Biography

When John Wesley Antrim was born on February 21, 1859, in Rensselaer, Indiana, his father, John, was 49 and his mother, Hannah, was 43. He married Hannah Mae Modlin on October 22, 1881, in Norton, Kansas. They had eight children in 16 years. He died on March 2, 1939, in Norton, Kansas, at the age of 80, and was buried there.

schriesten had info that Alda had a sister named Catherine and a brother named John. According to some of the census reports I looked at, John and Hannah Antrim had a daughter named Catherine and a son named John Wesley (1859?). Aunt Jewell said that John the son...lived in the basement of the courthouse in Colby, Kansas and she remembers visiting him there. On the 1930 Colby, Ks. census, John W. Antrim is listed as a janitor at the courthouse same birth year as the John Wesley Antrim I have found with John and Hannah Antrim.
