APLIN-BROWN.—October 26, at Durban, Natal, Harry Bristol, second son late Hon. William Aplin, M.L.C., of Queensland, to Dora May, daughter late J. T. Brown, of Ashfield.

The death is reported from Mazabuka, Rhodesia, of Mr. Henry Bristol Aplin, aged 73, second son of the late Hon. W. Aplin, M.L.C., one of Townsville's early enterprising business men.
The late Mr. Aplin spent his early life working with his father in cattle and shipping, and he gained a sound practical knowledge of the pastoral industry. He went to Rhodesia nearly 40 years ago, and was closely associated with cattle raising there.
He is survived by his widow, and two sons, both of whom are on service, Gordon with the Southern Rhodesia Forces, and Russell with the R.A.F. in England. [4]
