Richart Schupp (also written Schupe) immigrated to Halifax, NS in 1750 aboard the ship Ann.[1] The passenger list says he was from Zwingenberg a small rural town in modern Germany as were about 4 or 5 other families aboard the ship.
Richard's age is unknown, but he came with his wife Apollonia and they had at least 4 children (some of whom would be married shortly) so it's likely he was 40+ years of age at this point. His children were; Richard and Phillip (both of whom died after arriving in Halifax), Johann Justin (who married and had a family) and Margaret (who married Peter Artz in 1753).[2]
Apollonia died shortly after their arrival in Nova Scotia.
