Arthur Apperley was born in British North America.

Arthur McNeil Apperley was born 8 January 1856 at Vaughan Township, York County, Canada West. He was the son of Thomas Apperley and his wife, Hannah Hatton.

Arthur Apperley married Elizabeth Ewing 24 May 1882 at Shelburne, Dufferin County, Ontario, Canada. [1] Elizabeth died in childbirth in 1893. Arthur and Elizabeth Apperley had six children:

  1. Alonzo Apperley, born in 1883,
  2. Annie Apperley, born in 1884,
  3. Aldwin Apperley, born in 1886,
  4. Cecil Apperley, born in 1888,
  5. Pearl Apperley, born in 1889, and
  6. Elizabeth Apperley, born in 1893.

Arthur Apperley married Emily Smith 3 April 1896 at Alliston, Simcoe County, Ontario, Canada. [2] Arthur and Emily Apperley had five children:

  1. Mildred Apperley, born in 1899,
  2. Ernest Apperley, born in 1903,
  3. Neil Apperley, born in 1905,
  4. Lottie Apperley, born in 1907, and
  5. Ruby Apperley, born in 1909.

Arthur Apperley died 12 January 1939 in Toronto, York County, Ontario, Canada, [3] and is buried in Park Lawn Cemetery. [4]
