Born in Stayton,Marion County Oregon he died in Meridian, Ada County Idaho. For many years he worked as a logger for Ferris Lumber Co. and worked on a small family farm. Then he worked as an electrical supervisor for the Stayton Canning Co., now called Norpac Foods. He retired in 1990. He married Lois Elliott in 1960 and adopted her daughter Marylee. He has a sister Beverly Mulkey of McMinville. He played as a center in football at O.S.U. and was a member of Delta Tau Delta fraternity. He served in the Army Air Force during WWII and his football coach took him for tryouts for the Chicago Bears but apparently he wasnt mean enough. He passed away after a hip replacement operation and was 85.
